Terms of Service — Feature Factory

1. What Feature Factory is

Feature Factory is an AI-powered tool operated by Vicinity Limited ("Vicinity", "we", "us") that helps users describe feature requests through guided conversation. The system generates structured specifications intended for use by development teams.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to agree to these terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation. By signing in, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts and authentication

You sign in using a supported authentication provider (such as Google or email). We store your email address and a user identifier to associate you with your conversations and feature requests. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you use to sign in.

4. How your input is used

The text you provide during conversations is sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses and feature request specifications. Your input may also be used to generate vector embeddings for duplicate detection. We do not use your input to train AI models.

5. Content ownership

By submitting content to Feature Factory, you assign all rights, title, and interest in that content to Vicinity. This includes any ideas, feature descriptions, and other materials you provide through conversations or submissions. Vicinity may use, modify, distribute, and commercially exploit this content without restriction or obligation to you.

6. AI-generated output

Feature requests generated by the system are produced by AI and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or suggestions that are not feasible. Generated specifications are a starting point, not a finished product. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all output before acting on it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Feature Factory to submit content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or that infringes the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend access if these terms are violated.

8. Availability and changes

Feature Factory is provided "as is" without warranty. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vicinity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Privacy

Your use of Feature Factory is also governed by the Vicinity Privacy Notice.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
